What Creates Traffic Jam?

What causes the traffic? No I am not talking about Internet Marketing. I am writing about road traffic jams. When going on a long drive, you will get tired and it doesn’t matter if you are driving a new Porsche or 10 years old box, you still won’t look for traffic jam. People have said that driving in stunning used cars will give you the motivation to drive anywhere but trust me it’s not like that. Just read the new car reviews on the Internet and you will see what I mean.

Everyone tends to avoid traffic if they ever get stuck on them. If people do get stuck on traffic, some tend to goto the service station till the traffic gets better. Some tend to take the exit to avoid the traffic and take the longer route. So how do traffic jams occur? What are the main causes of traffic jam? Well there can be various reasons for a traffic jam to occur, they are as follows:

Accidents are one of the reasons which causes traffic jams. Especially if the accidents happens on the motorway it can cause long delays. It can take upto 4 to 5 hours for the traffic to get better sometimes but sometimes it can be cleared off quicker.

Rush hour is the time when it’s office hours. Either in the evening around 5pm to 6pm or in the morning about 8am to 9am. These are the times when people go to work and finish work.

Another issue out of many is road works that creates traffic jams.

Another reason is road blockage of when someone from the Royal family is travelling through that road, the traffic gets hold up because of this.

Road closure is another main reason of traffic jams. If one road is closed then every one has to take the alternative route which then gets flooded with traffic.

Weather condition is another reason for a traffic jam.
