I have an elderly Uncle – my Uncle Richard. He has a fair number of home care requirements which as a family we help with as much as possible.

My Uncle Richard is a real top man who despite his many health issues is still very happy and he thinks in a very positive manner. He has lived in his house, which he owns, for the last 30yrs and has absolutely no interest in moving to any form of “old peoples home”. Three years ago his wife, my Auntie Patricia, unfortunately passed away after a long illness. Richard is now quite lonely however he rarely admits this. My Auntie was his world and she also helped him in his daily life.

This is why it is essential that we as a family now take on these tasks to aid him with such things as purchasing incontinence pads etc. I have taken it upon myself to source these items as I am probably the one person from the family who spends the most time with him. Richard was a great support to me when I was growing up – especially when I was a teenager and I want him to be aware of just how grateful I am.

When attempting to find products such as latex gloves and incontinence pads I have tried just about everywhere trying to, of course, obtain the most affordable price.

A good friend of mine from work suggested that I look online. I have to say that shopping on the internet is not something that has ever appealed to me – basically because it kind of scares me lol. I did however search online as my friend had suggested and the prices were by far the cheapest I had found. I put my fears to one side and duly bought the products – happy days!
